The Bridgewater State Forensic Team took home several trophies from the recent St. Anselm Fall Tournament. Ten colleges and universities participated, including the University of Pennsylvania, Suffolk University, Emerson College, and Plymouth State University.
The BSU team received the 3rd Place Speech Team Trophy. Individual honors included: Shannon Lynch, who received the 2nd Place Trophy in Informative Speaking; and Frank Theodat, who received the 2nd Place Trophy in Speaking to Entertain. Also in recent news, at the Suffolk University Fall tournament, Shannon Lynch placed 7th in Informative Speaking.
The BSU Forensic Team was next scheduled to participate in one of the largest East Coast World Debate tournaments on December 7 and 8 at Brandeis University. Nearly 30 colleges and universities from the U.S. and Canada attended this tournament. It will be the squad’s first large tournament in this fast growing debate format.
