Seventy-five area families will benefit from the largess of BSU community members thanks to the Baskets of Love program.

The students of Jumpstart spearheaded the collection, with the help of other student groups or individuals seeking to spread some holiday cheer, also chipped in.

In addition to the 75 families, who will be each be given a large basket of toys and gifts, five bicycles will be given away.

One of the student organizers, Jeremy Floman, said he was expressing the thoughts of all those involved, when he said: “It makes me feel great to help others knowing that everything that was donated goes directly to the families who are most in need.”

The Maxwell Library, Alumni Center, Wellness Center, Academic Achievement Center, Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, and other offices and departments around campus participated in this program. (Story by John Winters, photo by student Erin O’Leary, University News)
