Students, need to know what students are up to or what’s going on around campus? Check out www.bsulife.com, a new communication platform written by your peers and tailored to your needs and wants.
"It is written for and by the students and really at the end of the day that is what it is for,” said Ed Cabellon, assistant to the vice president of student affairs. “Students will find stories about events, programs, editorials, and how to navigate Bridgewater life.”
Based on last year’s survey, students wanted a website where they could find information pertaining to student life. BSULife, an extension of the Rondileau Campus Center blog that was started five years ago, addresses this need.
“This is going to be the home for student stories and life, things that are happening at Bridgewater and that capture the essence on campus,” said Mr. Cabellon.
BSULife gives direct access to social media outlets, such as Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. “The hope is to share and re-share content,” he said.
One of the goals of the new site was to ensure that all the information was easily accessible in a student-friendly format.
“It is a more modern look, the design is more accustomed to what students are used to using,” Mr. Cabellon said. “It is where all the information related to student life will be, they won’t have to go to five different places.”
Students can subscribe to the website, and receive content directly to their inbox. Also people are able to submit stories to bsulife@bridgew.edu. (Story by student Caitlin Seddon, University News)
