Frederick W. Clark Jr., executive vice president and vice president for external affairs, along with other university administrators and faculty, hosted a roundtable discussion on the possibility of establishing an exchange program between BSU and the University of the Azores.
Representing the University of the Azores at the meeting were Professor Susana Mira Leal, pro-reitora for external relations, society and lifelong learning; Professor Maria Joe Bicudo, pro-reitora of the College of Pharmacy; and Roberto Medeiros, president of the Mosaic Cultural and Solidarity Association of Lagoa, Azores, USA and Canada.
In his welcome to the group, Mr. Clark said, “Under the direction of our president, Dr. Dana Mohler-Faria, the number of international exchange agreements negotiated by the university with colleges and universities around the world has climbed dramatically, and today we have more than 40 such partnerships. It is a genuine pleasure for us to have the opportunity meet and talk with officials from the University of the Azores so we may explore mutual interests and future connections.” (Story and photo by David K.
