A contingent of visiting officials from BSU, including President Dana Mohler-Faria, signed an agreement with the Cape Verde Ministry of Culture. The purpose of the agreement is to promote international cooperation and support for the mutual benefit of both parties, and to expand the dissemination of Cape Verdean history, culture and experience to a larger international audience.

In addition to setting the stage for an ongoing dialogue between the island nation and BSU, the agreement also makes provisions for the exchange of materials, sharing of digitized historical documents, promotion of events, and the development of new initiatives.

The agreement was signed by President Mohler-Faria and Cape Verde’s Minister of Culture Mario Lucio Sousa.

BSU has a long history with Cape Verde, including assistance with the creation of the republic’s first major institution of higher education.
