Crystal Howard, alumni relations coordinator in University Advancement, was awarded a $1,500 Professional Development Scholarship from the National Educational Alumni Trust (NEAT).

Bill Dean, Executive Director and CEO of the Texas Tech Alumni Association and Chair of the scholarship committee for NEAT announced the award.

Ms. Howard was one of 16 winners selected by the scholarship committee. Scholarships were awarded in October to enable recipients to attend a professional development conference during the 2014-2015 conference season.

“We are pleased to announce the 2014-15 NEAT scholarship recipients,” said Mr. Dean. “The partnership between NEAT and its member institutions is truly demonstrated by the commitment to reward these talented up-and-coming alumni relations professionals.”

NEAT is a not-for-profit organization that provides insurance and financial services to constituents of its 140 member associations. NEAT insurance plans and programs are administered and marketed by USI Affinity Collegiate Insurance Resources. (John Winters, G '11, University News)
