BSU has been named to the “30 Most Attractive Yet Affordable College Campuses” list as compiled by the website Affordable Colleges.
The judges looked at schools deemed affordable, with tuition fees and total cost of attendance below the national average. As for aesthetics, they looked to such factors as green spaces, views and architecturally significant buildings.
Bridgewater earned the 21st spot on the list.
“[W]hat the following list proves is that freshmen students can still opt for elegant campuses in gorgeous surroundings while keeping a tight rein on their budget. The 30 universities and colleges covered here all offer costs that are below the national average and at the same time deliver visually stunning sights that are sure to make studying a pleasure,” the article said.
As for BSU in particular, the judges praised Boyden Hall and the university’s “classic college quadrangle,” the campus’ abundant green space and the hiking trails in the surrounding woods.
