Want to keep up with Bridgewater State University on the social sphere? University News has unveiled an updated, user-friendly social media mash-up page for both external and internal audiences, including prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty and staff. The new social media mash-up centralizes active accounts from across campus.
The new feature can be found here, and includes an alphabetically organized and navigable directory for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and university blogs. The collapsible live stream, filtered for your viewing preference, has been designed to reflect the Bridgewater experience, featuring Athletics, Career Services, Study Abroad, Residence Life and Housing and more.
As departments and programs create new accounts, updates to the directory will occur. Currently, the university maintains an active presence on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The overall purpose of these accounts is to help our visitors discover the BSU experience while making social media surfing easier.
With continued growth in the social media arena, University News will develop new ways to improve the mash-up page for the community to stay connected online. The social media hub will soon have resources for campus users maintaining accounts.
